Experience Abisko - 4 night package

December 2018/January to March 2019

Enjoy a fantastic 4 night break at the delightful Abisko Mountain Lodge on the edge of the Abisko National Park - perfect for an Arctic short break.

This has to be our favourite location for Arctic experiences including Northern Lights hunting.

Our 4 night break packs in a range of activities including:

  • 4 Nights at Abisko Mountain Lodge
  • Exclusive visit to Aurora Sky Station in Abisko
  • Snowmobile and Husky Adventure Days
  • Aurora Photo Evening in Abisko National Park
  • Train trip to the Norwegian Fjords or National Park adventure
  • ICEHOTEL visit

Why Abisko?

Abisko is one of the most northerly villages in Europe. Surrounded by mountains and bounded by Lake Torneträsk, the village is a fascinating insight into life inside the Arctic Circle.

Due to its location, inland and surrounded by mountains, the weather in the area around Abisko is exceptionally stable (reportedly the area experiences the least amount of precipitation of anywhere in Sweden, whilst just a few kilometres away is the highest levels).

What does that mean for Aurora watchers?

Principally, clear skies! Because the weather tends to push around rather than over Abisko.

Combine that with tiny levels of light pollution and the chances of being in the right place at the right time for Aurora spotting is very high.
