The guest house, with its sweeping views of Table Mountain, the city bowl and Table Bay, has historical status and was built in 1905. It has been lovingly restored and is now considered to be one of the grand dames of Cape Town.
A luxury guest house with a French Boudoir feel, the nine individually decorated rooms (5 Grande Rooms, 4 Luxury Rooms) are all en-suite and feature percale linen, air conditioning, a selection of satellite TV channels, mini-bar, tea/coffee facilities and free Wi-Fi access. The guest areas include a lounge leading out to a secluded patio, a heated swimming pool with loungers and umbrellas, and a novel spa bath on the upper balcony with scenic mountain views.
Abbey Manor is en-route to the Table Mountain Cableway and the tourist hotspots of the V & A Waterfront, Camps Bay and the Clifton beaches are a 15 minute drive away. There are plenty of lively sidewalk cafés, eateries and galleries within walking distance of the guest house.
