Venice is a place for lovers, a year-round destination for those who love the finer things in life. With its famous waterways, stunning architecture and impressive array of hotels, the city of Venice is one of the finest destinations for short breaks in Europe.
The city plays host each year to the Venice Carnival - a two week party of all things glamorous, decadent and maybe a little risqué.
We offer a range of packages from a taster to the Carnival, to the ultimate party package including tickets to Il Ballo Del Doge. All are the perfect way to experience a Venice city break.
Guests are encouraged to promenade through the streets of Venice in costume - not only is it a wonderful sight, but helps participants get into the spirit of carnival.
Venice is so much more than Carnival though - we offer a range of short breaks to events such as the fabulous Venice Opera performances in La Fenice, or perhaps you're 'just' looking for a romantic short break in which case Venice is the place to go! And of course, if you fancy something other than flying between the UK and the city of love it's hard to beat the exquisite hospitality of the world-famous Venice Simplon-Orient-Express. The overnight journey is one to be savoured as you leave London and head, via Paris, through the Alps to your ultimate destination. We think there's probably no better way to travel!

Venice is a city in north eastern Italy and comprises a group of 118 small islands separated by canals, with most linked by bridge. Renowned for the beauty of its setting, architecture and artwork, the city is listed as a World Heritage Site.
The city's climate is such that visitors in February can expect temperatures peaking around 9 degrees, with rain days averaging just over 5 per month over a 30 year period. Night time temperatures hover around freezing. It's fair to say that you can leave the bikini (or mankini) at home - but the decadent costumes included in our Venice Carnival packages will help to keep the chill out!
Mascheranda - one of the more spectacular balls, hosted at the magnificent Palazzo Pisani Moretta which overlooks the Grand Canal. This package includes extended hire of your costume for the ball (and for promenading), and a fabulous tasting menu dinner at the world-famous Met Restaurant!
Il Ballo del Doge - Simply put, one of Italy's most prestigious events and recently voted one of the top 10 things to do in a lifetime! Each year, Il Ballo selects a theme for its event - some of the past themes can be seen above. Guests are encouraged to get into the spirit of the ball, adapting costume to suit.
We offer three levels of ticket to Il Ballo del Doge, as part of our package, dependent upon your requirements - from 'Full' to 'Super VIP', subject to availability at time of booking.
Outside of Carnival Venice has plenty to offer the traveller in search of a short break of 2 or 3 nights. Take time to explore on foot, by water taxi or gondola. Enjoy the museums, or just wander around St Mark's Square. People watching is a key local pastime!
Or you can take in an opera in one of Europe's most stunning opera houses - La Fenice. With a practically year long season, you can choose from a range of operatic performances that will delight and make your stay all the more memorable.
We're still adding to our roster of breaks in Venice - if you don't see what you are looking for why not call us to discuss, on 01273 256496.
