For a land of contrasts it is hard to beat South Africa - whether your aim is a city break or a safari. From Cape Town venture out to the winelands, along the Garden Route or head to the Eastern Cape for some of the best Big 5 Safari animal encounters in the world.
South Africa safari breaks bring together a range of safari experiences and city breaks, with beach options in between. Cape Town is your starting point, whilst the Garden Route provides stunning scenery, and the Eastern Cape or Kruger National Park are your destinations for the Big 5 Safari animals.
There's probably never been a better time to visit South Africa, with the strength of the Pound against the South African Rand making your trip eminently affordable. And with flights overnight you're not losing out on your holiday time - and there is little jet lag to cope with either (Cape Town is 1 hour ahead of the UK).
Our short breaks are a great introduction to the African continent - and really whet the appetite for Safari, yet are short enough not to overwhelm guests whose main purpose of travel may not be the wildlife that is on offer.
Our South African City Breaks and Safari experiences focus on Cape Town as your initial destination. Stunning scenery, friendly welcome, excellent accommodation and superb food await you on your arrival in the city.
Cape Town is a fascinating city in its own right, with easy access to some stunning scenery including Haut Bay, Robben Island (Nelson Mandela was the prison's most famous resident) and also South Africa's Winelands. At certain times of the year we can also arrange Whale Watching tours, some of which don't even require a boat!
You might also like to head our to Cape Point, where the Atlantic meets the Indian Ocean. It's an incredible sight where you really can see the difference between the two bodies of water.
Our longer packages then move either towards the Eastern Cape, or to the Kruger National Park in north eastern South Africa. Here you can enjoy the unspoilt landscapes whilst using your camera to hunt the Big 5 Safari animals. Abundant wildlife surrounds you as you explore the bush on foot, in 4x4s or even by boat as you experience South African safaris.
